This readme file was generated on [2025-06-24] by [NAME: Patrik Sjöberg and Maria Larsson-Lund] GENERAL INFORMATION - This study is part of a larger feasibility project (Swedish ethical review authority, Dnr 2023-08032-01) investigating the development and evaluation of an internet based, proactive occupational therapy intervention which aims to help people with chronic disease to develop/maintain an active everyday life and prevent consequences of disease. The project follows international guidelines of complex interventions and as part of a process evaluation, key uncertanties in providing proactive interventions will need to be addressed. The transition to a proactive care is a priority in national reports. Possible benefits of such a transition is that proactive interventions early in the care process may lead to decreased care needs at a later stage if these complex care needs can be restricted or avoided completely. However, the transition to a proactive care comes with difficulties and studies provide insight that rehabilitation resources are underutilized early in the care process. Hence this feasibility project will consist of 4 studies and this is the first study of these. The aim of this study is to explore and describe people with chronic diseases and healthcare professionals experiences of proactive self-management interventions for activities in everyday life. DATA & FILE OVERVIEW Data is stored at Luleå University of technology (LTU DRIVE project number: LTU-633713) and Swedish national data service (SND). File List: The uploaded files at SND are transcriptions from the focus group discussions, 2 from the discussions with members of patient organizations named 'transkribering fokusgrupp 1 patientrepresentanter' and 'transkribering fokusgrupp patientrepresentanter 2', and 3 from the discussions with healthcare professionals named 'transkribering personaldiskussion 1', 'transkribering personaldiskussion 2' and 'transkribering personaldiskussion 3'. The audio files are stored at Luleå university of technology archives. The audiofiles corresponds to the transcriped interviews listed above. METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION Description of methods used for collection/generation of data: Focus group discussions was used to collect data for the study. One of the focus group was with participants from a primary health care unit physically at their location. The other four focus group discussion with primary care units and representatives from patient organization was conducted using an online video conferencing system. Methods for processing the data: Classic focus group analysis strategy described by Krueger & Casey. Instrument- or software-specific information needed to interpret the data: All data are written in swedish in microsoft word in the transcripted files listed as mentioned above. Environmental/experimental conditions: One of the focus group discussion with health care professional was conducted physically at their primary care unit while the rest was conducted using an online video conferencing system. Describe any quality-assurance procedures performed on the data: Audiofiles were transferred to a file that only the authors of the study had access to and later transcriped verbatim in microsoft word documents stored at the same place. The audiofiles were listened through several times in order for the transcriptions to align with the recordings and the transcriptions were later anonymized to protect the confidentiality of the study participants. Words being anonymized in the transcribed files was e.g. names of primary care units, participants and geographical locations.
